Who to Call and How to Get Emergency Service

If you need food, the Fairbanks Community Food Bank is here to help you.
We receive free food and we give it away freely.

WHO do I call for an emergency food box?

Call the church of the day or call the Fairbanks Community Food Bank at 45-SHARE (457-4273).

WHAT TIME do I call?

Between 10 am and Noon. Monday through Friday only. The closer to 10am the better.

WHERE do I pick up my food box?

From the church you made the request with.

HOW many food boxes can I get?

Up to ten emergency food box orders per person per calendar year.

HOW MUCH food will I get?

Approximate 20 pounds of food per person in the household. Enough food for 3 days.

WHAT information do I need to provide?

Photo ID’s for all adults (18 and older) and ages for children in the household included on your food box order.

HOW OFTEN can I get an emergency food box?

You are able to receive up to 10 emergency food boxes per person per calendar year.

WHERE can I go for a meal?

First Presbyterian (547 7th Avenue): take-out meals Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm

Immaculate Conception (115 N Cushman Street): 11:00am-1:00pm : Wednesday-Sunday- Hot Meals & Sack Lunches. 

Stone Soup Cafe (507 Gaffney Rd): Breakfast 7:30am-9:30am Monday – Friday

Additional Meals for Seniors ages 60+:

-North Star Council on Aging (1424 Moore Street)–Take-out lunch M-F from 11:30a-12:30p
-Fairbanks Native Association Elders (320 2nd Ave)–lunch has been suspended due to COVID-19.
-Meals on Wheels delivered Monday thru Friday (North Star Council on Aging) 452-1735
