Become a Volunteer

It’s easy to become a Food Bank volunteer!
It’s easy to become a Food Bank volunteer! Volunteers do great things at the Food Bank! More than 16,700 hours were donated last year. Over 50 volunteer hours are needed each day to help alleviate hunger in our area. Food Bank volunteers sort donations, pack food boxes, and help coordinate and distribute the food relief that we give to our fellow Alaskans to help them through their tough times.

People of all ages and all levels of ability are welcome. There is plenty of work for everyone and if you cannot lift and carry boxes or stand for long periods of time, there are other tasks that we can use your help with.
